Meena Aurelia Valentin is a 21 year old Oak Cliff, Dallas native. Half Puerto Rican and half Lebanese, she comes from a diverse family of both visual and performing artists and musicians. Since graduating from Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in 2022, she has been exploring alternative routes to the status quo. Meena has made it a priority to continue her pursuit and growth as an artist, independently and outside of traditional art institutions while exploring many mediums, including metals, clays, fibers, and glass - finding her creative voice predominantly in the realm of 3D art.
Meena has experience teaching in artistic environments as a hand-selected intern with Oil and Cotton. She has collaborated with teams of artists to create large-scale, temporary art installations, including working alongside world renowned artist Sandra Cinto's hands-on creation team of the - Landscape of a Lifetime - for the Dallas Museum of Art. in 2019.
